The supply chain is fast overtaking talent attraction as a key concern for the world’s CEOs. We asked BBG Board Director and Head of CIPS MENA Sam Achampong FCIPS for his current view:

“As we continue to emerge from the pandemic and companies return to previous norms, one aspect of business that remains an issue is that of supply chain disruption. Previous behaviours of “just in time” delivery and “long lean” supply chains are making way for ‘“just in case” stockpiling strategies and local sourcing. There are many reasons for this but primarily it’s because we are in the middle of a constantly changing world and organisations are seeking a level of certainty in the supply and aquisition of goods and commodities. Other factors include the increasing focus on ESG. I see the focus on supply chain resilience continuing to be a major factor in the way we do business for many years to come…” Sam Achampong FCIPS
