Delma Exchange opens first Concept Store in the Middle East in collaboration with Western Union

DUBAI, UAE: Delma Exchange, a leading foreign currency exchange provider, today announced that it has opened, in collaboration with Western Union, the first concept store in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Over the next few weeks, all five Delma Exchange locations in the UAE will be re-branded to reflect the collaboration with Western Union and new identity in the region. Both companies will offer customer-centric services with convenient access and at speed.

According to Western Union’s Global Money Transfer Index, outward remittances from the UAE are set to increase. Seventy-six percent of consumers sending money transfers confirm they will need to transfer more money in the next 12 months. World Bank figures support this. Outbound remittances from the UAE totaled $47.54 billion in 2021, a 9.7% year-on-year increase.[1]

“We are thrilled to collaborate with Western Union,” said Zahir Moghal, CEO of Delma Exchange. “As a leading provider of foreign currency exchange, we have always placed our customers at the forefront of our business and only do what is best for them. The announcement today means that we will be able to further enhance our customer experience by offering them an extensive range of Western Union services and enabling ease and convenience. Western Union shares our customer-first approach, and we are excited to work with them to provide our customers with technology-driven solutions that will elevate the overall experience."

The Western Union global concept store roll-out is designed to build on the strong foundations it has with its customers, as it continues to offer accessible financial services for all. Once re-branded, all locations will feature multiple Western Union and Delma solutions, including local and international money transfers, payment solutions, currency exchange, and many more.

Delma Exchange has already committed to its futuristic store design with the revamp of its Sharjah location, which is a testament to what customers can expect. The store features a modern design with state-of-the-art technology aimed at improving efficiency. The collaboration between Delma Exchange and Western Union is set to create new benchmarks in the financial services space and revolutionize the way customers experience international money movement services.

With over a decade-long presence, Delma Exchange, a regulated foreign currency exchange provider, has serviced over 50,000 clients in the UAE. It has provided a variety of financial and business currency solutions, catering to consumer and corporate groups. Its retail offering portfolio expands to more than just currency exchange, with financial services like global remittance and international partnerships. Today’s announcement will undoubtedly enhance Delma Exchange's offerings, providing its customers with access to cutting-edge technology and innovative digital solutions, further cementing its position as a leader in the financial services space.
