Sustainability Symposium - The EXPO 2020 Legacy, towards COP 28 and beyond

On 26th January 2023, Heriot-Watt University Dubai is launching the Sustainability Symposium: The Expo 2020 Legacy, towards COP28 and beyond, to share experiences and draw lessons learnt on how the Expo 2020 Dubai promoted and escalated the contribution towards sustainable development, while engaging stakeholders from all sectors and nationalities.

 

This symposium will invite key players from academia/private sector/government/NGOs/International Organisations.

 

Given the learnings from Expo 2020 Dubai, this symposium aims at yielding the best results which prompted the adoption of sustainability practices and solutions here in the UAE. At the same time, it intends to gather and connect minds to design a road map of sustainability, inspiring society, industry, and the Government.

 

The driving question of the symposium is: "How did Expo 2020 Dubai influence the sustainability journey of local and international organisations/entrepreneurs in the UAE?"
