This was the first international visit for Minister for International Trade Ranil Jayawardena MP in his new role and since lockdown.
Last night (Wednesday 25 November 2020) we had the pleasure of meeting and hearing from UK Minister for International Trade and Deputy Chairman of the Conservative Party Ranil Jayawardena MP during his first international visit since his appointment in May this year. Introduced by British Business Group Dubai and Northern Emirates (BBG) Chairman John Martin St.Valery and Her Majesty’s Trade Commissioner for the Middle East, Afghanistan and Pakistan Simon Penney at the Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts (DIFC) Minister Jayawardena shared his enthusiasm for supporting the increasing trade activity between the UK and GCC and acknowledged examples of resilience in the British business community through the pandemic.
