It is with great pleasure that we invite members and guests to attend the first instalment of our Ambassador Series for 2019. This is a unique briefing hosted by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to Jordan, Edward Oakden CMG, and Her Majesty’s Trade Commissioner for the Middle East, Afghanistan & Pakistan, Simon Penney. Guests will learn about Jordan’s growth and opportunities as a geostrategic entry-point to markets in the Middle East, Asia, Europe and Africa, with free trade agreements reaching a billion consumers worldwide. HMA and HMTC will be accompanied by a delegation from the Department for International Trade (DIT) and Department for International Development (DFID).

This event will also provide an overview of ‘Jordan’s Growth and Opportunity: the 2019 London Initiative’ – an exciting international conference relevant to BBG members who either have or wish to have business interests in Jordan. The Initiative will take place on 28 February 2019 in Central London, showcasing Jordan’s 2025 vision for economic growth and reform and launching the Government’s strategy to boost investment. The conference will be hosted at the most senior levels of the UK and Jordanian governments, with the participation of international private sector leaders, investors, partner governments and IFIs.

The briefing will be followed by networking and one-to-one discussions about potential business opportunities.
