As of January 1st 2017, the new motor insurance rules and regulations policies came into effect which applies to all active insurance policies starting 2017. The premiums for those policies have been amended by the Insurance Authority according to the number of cylinders in passenger vehicles and tonnage capacity for transport vehicles which is having a major financial impact not just on individuals but also small and medium businesses that operate here in Dubai.

Jonathan is a certified insurance professional. Prior to joining the online comparison site, he spent 20 years working in the insurance industry in the UK, Switzerland, Australia, the Middle East and Turkey. He was Audit Director at Zurich Corporate Centre, and, most recently, was CFO for Zurich in the Middle East and Turkey. Accordingly, Rawling has deep knowledge of the insurance industry at both the global and Middle Eastern level.

James is an experienced Automotive professional with a proven record of consistently high achievement and International exposure to business practices adopted by some of the world’s largest and most profitable automotive retailers, now heading up the long term leasing division of Budget for the UAE.
Born and raised in Lincolnshire, United Kingdom, a sleepy countryside county on the east coast of England. He came to Dubai in 2008 as a finance and insurance manager for Al Futtaim Toyota. Worked for Gargash Mercedes as Finance and Insurance manager in Diera, before eventually becoming National Sales and Marketing Manager for Budget Rent a car UAE.

Carol Orbon- Operations Manager Claims – Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance
Carol joined the Insurance industry in the Philippines thru Commercial Union plc in 1986 as Motor Underwriter/Claims Handler for 8 years.   In early 1994, she relocated to Dubai, UAE to join Northern Assurance Co. Ltd (CGU) dealing with all classes of claims for a total of 8 years.   
Of the total 31 years of Carol’s insurance claims experience, the last 15 years has been with RSA as a senior member of the Claims leadership team with extensive knowledge of claims and direct experience of working in several Technical and Operational areas.  Carol’s current role involve leading the Motor Claims Team to drive and deliver the claims strategy, claims service, performance expectations and financial targets.

Leena Mary John- Deputy Vice President Motor Division – Gargash Insurance Services
Leena has been associated with Gargash Insurance Services for more than 10 years. She heads the Motor Operations at Gargash Insurance Head Office . She has thorough knowledge of motor insurance products and is deeply involved in both Sales and Operations with a team strength of around 40 staff. Her efficient managerial skills, leadership qualities has helped Gargash Insurance grow their motor business continuously. Her ceaseless enthusiasm towards work,  excellent motivational skills makes her an admirable mentor to her team.
She is an Associate of Insurance Institute of India and holds a Bachelors of Commerce Degree from Mumbai University, India
