How to do Business with the Arabs in the GCC

A leading Dubai businessman Hisham Al Gurg, CEO of the Private Office of HH Sheikh Saeed Bin Ahmed Al Maktoum shared three simple yet very important elements of How to do business with Arabs. Hisham talked about the process of entering into a business relationship with Emiratis which practically applies to the whole GCC. Hisham explained the do's and don'ts of business etiquette and how to best service your Arab clients or suppliers. He also shared advice, suggestions and ideas which you can adopt while doing business with the Arabs.

Hisham Al Gurg of an Emirati Nationality has over 18 years of experience in setting up and running new ventures in the MENA region. Hisham is a pioneer in the region for his visionary approach, high profile networking and managing large regional projects and investments worth more than 1billion USD.
Presently, he is managing the private investments and joint venture partnerships of His Highness Sheikh Saeed Bin Ahmed Al Maktoum. He is also the CEO of Al Fajer Investments & Development, an investment division of Al Fajer Enterprises, a holding group of companies owned by His Highness Sheikh Hasher Al Maktoum. Both the Sheikhs are members of the Royal family of Dubai.
As a CEO of Seed Group, he is managing a portfolio of eight growing companies in diversified industries within the UAE as well as abroad. In 2010, Hisham launched three businesses in the luxury apparel industry and established the sales and marketing offices in five different cities- New York, London, Paris, Milan and Hong Kong.
He is also the UAE sponsor of Chinese petroleum giant Sinopec Petroleum. Sinopec Petroleum is one of the largest energy corporations in the world, headquartered in Beijing.
Hisham is also a director of Signature Group, an International PE firm that focuses on emerging markets such as the Middle East, India and Africa.
Hisham holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Southwest Texas State University (San Marcos, Texas). He is also a former fireman and paramedic certified by the State of Texas.
